| I have had a lot of people who have wanted to reserve a puppy before it is born or to get on a waiting list for a certain litter. I DO NOT DO THIS!! I have seen other sites that take waiting lists and who will announce that a certain litter has a waiting list that is "full" and I think this is a ridiculous practice. They must have a crystal ball that I don't have and can know how many puppies they are gonna have beforehand and adjust their lists accordingly. And to take money for a puppy who is not even born is absolutely ludicrous! I try not to take a deposit till a puppy is almost a week old due to the fragile nature of a newborn puppy. I don't like to contact people and tell them their pup is no longer available! After years of doing this I have found it makes a whole lot of extra work for me and 90% of the people on the list do not end up buying a puppy. I would keep meticulous lists and note just when somebody would contact me and then contact people in the order they got on the list. The majority of the people on the list would not even bother to reply to my calls or emails to tell me they were no longer interested or that they were on two or three other lists and already purchased a puppy elsewhere, so, I no longer go to the trouble of keeping lists and contacting people who don't have any intention of buying a puppy. This process would hold up posting the litter for days or sometimes weeks and then the people who are actually ready to buy could not get the puppy they wanted. So, now I post online the minute the litter is born and you may watch for the litter you're interested in and you can get a preview of the litter before it goes online. On my planned breeding page I have a time when the litter is due and you can follow the progress of the litter you're interested in. I have found that the people that are truly interested will be pro-active and contact me for their puppy. Sorry if this puts anybody off but that this is from years of inconsiderate people who wouldn't even bother to say 'no thanks I'm not interested anymore' or 'I already bought another puppy'.
